Brand
The perception in the minds of the customer about the emotional corporate image as a whole is a brand. A brand is not just an image, but it is also an experience that grows further, the expectations. Therefore, a brand is an emotional corporate image, an experience and a promise. Brands are not static, they evolve. One thing should be taken as a warning, your company, on daily basis is making an impression in the minds of your clients, prospects, employees and other shareholders, which means that it is your responsibility to take care of the image your are portraying to them. You can either make it or mar it, there is no other way. A brand is a promise. It is up to you how you keep it.
Branding
Advertisement, marketing strategy or a business propellant, what is branding? Branding is all of it. By branding you create an awareness of the range of your products and a promise for you brand.
In-house branding
A good management, as a part of branding, spends time with their staff and makes sure that they have the essence of the brand they are working with, in them. This is important so that an employee is able to deliver his/her best even in the sub-conscious mind. It is important so that all the strength and energy of the company is put forth in the same direction to achieve same goal.
For instance, a group of friends visits a very good hotel for lunch. Before placing an order they ask for any specials in the menu. But the waiter simply hands over the menu to the customer and says that he has no clue about the specials and they can choose from the menu. Whenever this happens, it gives an impression that the hotel staff is not groomed by the management and is ignorant. This is negative. People who work for you and with you don’t know you, how can you expect your customers to acknowledge you.
Managing a brand
A brand has evolved; it has made its identity and a good corporate image. But it is very important to maintain it. Established brands make sure that they never go out of the mind of the consumer. They know that their customers know them well, but one should never forget that the memory of the consumer is very small; hence you should always remain on top of their minds.
